What is MDS?

The Multi disc screw press (“MDS” for short.)  is a screw press that separates liquids from solids. it can be used in place of a belt press, decanter, or filter press. It is a simple, slow-moving device that accomplishes dewatering by continuous gravitational drainage.

Flocculation

The sludge and the dissoved polymer solution will be feeded into the flocculation tank to stirring and mixing, then the floc will be formed, and then flow into the screw cylinder

Concentration

The floc internal the screw cylinder will be concentrated by the rotating screw shaft and the moving rings and fixed rings as a filter, the filtrate will be collected.

Dewatering

The sludge is continuously squeezed by the combined action of the screw shaft, the moving rings, fixed rings, and the end plate, finally discharged through the sludge cake outlet.
